Robbie and I were lucky enough to take a quick trip to Oklahoma to see his family over Labor Day weekend.  It was a lot of fun for me to finally meet all of his siblings and nieces and nephews.  It was really hot that weekend so I look awful in all of the pictures, but I will post some because I know people want to see them.  Robbie and I took our camera, but of course did not take a single picture so here are pictures other members of the family took.

Saturday early afternoon there we got together at the park for grandkids pics.  The adults hung out and tried to stay cool.

Saturday evening they surprised Robbie and me with a family baby shower.  We walked into a room full of gifts including a diaper cake that must have taken forever to make.  We are so blessed to have amazing families and are grateful for all of their love and suppor.  Here are some pictures.

This is one of the few pregnant pictures you are going to see of me.  I was a hot tired mess!

 Isn't this fruit baby cute!

Julia was our helper opening presents and giving them to us.  I was holding baby Bella and Robbie was opening gifts.  Julia did not think he was opening stuff fast enough so she helped us out.

Sunday was church and hanging out followed by an amazing Korean meal with Eric and Sarah Parks!  Eric is a roommate of Robbie's from BYU.  Monday we woke up, went to breakfast with Katie and James, packed up our loot in the 44 inch duffle bag we had to buy and headed to the airport.

We had a lot of fun!  Thanks again Church family for the fun trip, all of the gifts and for thinking of us!

My friends Rochelle and Dave have five of the cutest kids you've ever met.  They are like family to me!  I made quilts for all of her kids and she kindly took pictures for me so I have a record.

It is fun for me to see these quilts again.  I have loved making every single one of them!  Rochelle and Dave are like family to me.  I am grateful for the friendship and support and for letting me part of their lives.

I have been trying to figure out the best way to document all of the quilts I make.  My mom suggested posting them on a blog so that I can always refer to them when buying fabric for a new one.  I was trying to decide if I should have a separate blog for my quilting, but have decided that I am more likely to stay on top of it if I only have one blog to update.  So here are some of the quilts I have made recently.

Here are some pictures!  I found the pattern for the bumper pads and crib skirt on pinterest.  The bumper pads have pipping, and I'm not sure the cute factor was worth the hassle, but they turned out cute.

Here are the blankets!

And so it begins!

Much to the dismay of my husband, we are starting this blog for family and friends to see what's going on in our lives as we prepare for our baby boy's arrival on November 29, 2012.

I am now 25 weeks along, and busy filling my spare time with sewing projects.  I went home to Salt Lake City the end of July and did a lot of fabric shopping with my mom and little sister.  The first three projects on my list are done, and I plan to finish the burp cloths soon.

1.  Flannel receiving blankets and minkie blanket
2.  Crib skirt
3.  Bumper pads
4.  Burp cloths
5.  Quilt

My mom and little sister are busy with other projects including a diaper bag, car seat covers, nursing covers and knit receiving blankets.

I'm having a lot of fun, and my creative juices sure are flowing!

P.S. Don't expect a lot of posts.  I am really bad at this, and I told Robbie he didn't have to have anything to do with the blog.  Oh, and if your lucky I will actually take some pictures to post.
